Plantation Bay Resort and Spa Cebu Staycation During Pandemic

July 7, 2021

After 1 year of staying at home (went out only twice with the kids) and homeschooling, we finally booked a staycation last March 2021. Our homeschooling finished that same month so the short trip was a reward for everybody’s mental health. And for our first staycation during pandemic, we chose Plantation Bay Resort and Spa.

Staycation During Pandemic

Unlike the ‘old normal’ days where calling or emailing for the reservation was enough, reservation these days takes time. Before your scheduled arrival date, filling out registration forms and health declaration forms are needed which will all be sent to you after confirming your booking.

On the date of our stay, we also brought the NEW PANDEMIC ESSENTIALS:

  1. Alcohol (lots of it)
  2. Face Masks (bring a few extras for each family member)
  3. Face Shields (hotels require wearing this so do not forget this)
  4. Disinfectant Spray – good hotels are well-sanitized but it’s not bad to be more sure, right?

Our arrival and check-in went so smooth, it was Sunday so there were only a few guests in the resort. We didn’t worry about social distancing because to be honest, the resort is too big for several guests that day.

Plantation Bay Resort and Spa Room Rates – March 2021

The room that was recommended to us (3 adults and 2 kids) was their One Bedroom Suite which that month Php9000. We only added a few hundred for the breakfast.

Summer Frolix 2021 Promo RateRate per NightNo. of RoomsNo. of Nights
Weekend RatePhp 6,000 nett                            x 1 room                x 1 night =Php 6,000.00

We stayed for 1 night only but we had a blast, every peso spent was worth it! The suite given to us was just a few meters away from the Children’s Pool which we enjoyed for hours, just us, no other guests (probably that time they were in the lagoon or at the beach).

Note:
This post is not sponsored, we chose the hotel because it’s not crowded. My kids liked the place and they’re even requesting we go back there. I agree why they loved it there, hopefully, we can book again, if not this year then in 2022 (puhon!).
