Have you ever celebrated your birthday which made you both happy and very much exhausted at the same time? The answer could be yes for most of us, especially if we’re throwing a party. For my husband though, he had no party but his birthday last year made him so tired, yet it was fun.
We were in Manila on his birthday, I wrote an article about our first night at Shangri-la at the Fort Hotel. Our second night wasn’t worth sharing for now because we booked a room a bit late and we ended up having a bad experience. Our third night was the night of his birthday, where we stayed at Hotel H2O Manila, which is just located within Manila Ocean Park building.

Manila Ocean Park is the country’s first world-class marine theme park and a premier educational facility. It is located behind Quirino Grandstand in Luneta. We arrived at 11 AM in the place, we checked-in at the hotel first and para makatipid, we bought food from the outside na. We started checking out the attractions after savouring our lunch in our hotel room.
Securing tickets was easy, there was no long queue, and we were able to save a few hundreds because birthday celebrant gets to enjoy FREE entrance (as long as accompanied by 3 paying guests). We chose Sea Breeze Express but I realized late that it didn’t include Trails to Antartica. So we bought another set of tickets, yeah I know, I should have double checked the list! Anyway, see the image below for the prices, but for updated data, refer to their website here.
Below was the schedule we followed, sorry that it’s a bit blurry, I was kinda more excited that day to start our journey!
To be honest, following the schedule was a bit stressful for us. Many attractions opened at 10 AM but we started our journey at around 1 PM. A bit late, yes, so we end up always running in between the attractions. So don’t be like us, go there early, start early and have fun! Don’t worry too much about food, you’ll find more inside the building. You only need two things in your journey though, TIME AND ENERGY.
