We celebrated Martina’s 1st birthday exactly a month ago so I decided to share the buffet and venue details in this post. To be clear, I’m not paid for this and we paid the exact amount that was billed to us. This article is for those parents and young or old adults who are looking for affordable party venue in Cebu City.
During my party planning, I set an amount of Php 300 per guest as limit for the food and venue so our first choice was AA BBQ (Guadalupe Branch). Then I saw The Original Pino Restaurant’s Facebook post, that they’re offering ALL-IN PARTY PACKAGE AT P299.00 per person (minimum of 40). Fred and I already tried the place years ago and we remember feeling full and satisfied of their food. So without second thoughts, we checked their function rooms and booked the date.
About Pino Restaurant
Pino Restaurant is one of the famous restaurants in Lahug, Cebu City, serving sumptuous Filipino dishes. The place serves lunch and dinner buffet and it also has 2 function rooms for exclusive events and parties. The function room in the first floor can accommodate around 50 guests. We booked their bigger room located in the 2nd floor because it can accommodate up to 100 guests and there’s enough space for games and other party activities.
Pino Restaurant Party Package Details
- FREE Use of Function rooms (4 hours)
- Additional Php 1000 for the use of sound system
- Corkage fee of Php500 for the lechon
- NO corkage fee for cakes

- 5 main courses – Php 299

We chose the Php 299 package and it was dinner time. I think the note of dinner and lunch time above can be ignored as it was not applied to us when we booked. Also, when we went there to check the place, there was an event in the smaller room and according to the client, they booked for the bigger room and probably there’s a misunderstanding during booking. I don’t know whose fault it was but to make sure it won’t happen to me, below are the things I clearly stated during the booking (you can double check the staff’s notes):

- Date and time of the event (our event started at 6:00 PM, we were allowed to start our decoration starting 3:00 PM)
- Food choices
- Color of the cloth for backdrop and buffet tables
On the day of the Event
Staff and Service
We arrived 4:00 PM to start setting up the backdrop and dessert buffet. The staff were very accommodating, they even changed the backdrop clothing patiently when I told them I’ll be using white one instead of red. Also, I noticed all their staff were very friendly especially the ladies. You don’t even need to always ask for refill for the drinks because they’re always checking the table every now and then.
When our program finished at 8:00 PM and I asked for the bill, the staff reminded me that our booking would end at 10:00 PM, “sayang” if we’ll go home early, considering food is unlimited. I honestly agreed with him so together with some guests, we stayed there until 10:00 PM. Bravo to the guy for the reminder!
I have nothing bad to say about the food because all were delicious. I double checked with our guests and they too loved the food especially the Barbeque pork ribs. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take even a single photo!
The place is not that modern-looking which perfectly fits our birthday theme (Disney’s Elena of Avalor). I think, regardless of the theme or event, the place would do just fine even if you have 100 guests. When we stayed there longer with some friends, we noticed the kids were already feeling “at home”. They were playing and running around the room while us, the parents, were enjoying the rest of the night, of course with beer and unlimited food!

All-in-all, I can say the event was successful, thanks to Pino. I highly recommend this place!
